About the Club

The Maxwell Football Club is an organization involved not only in football at all levels but the community in general, not just once a year, but all year.

It’s an organization dedicated to the concept that young people are the potential of this nation.  The Maxwell Football Club wants to help young people realize that potential, as leaders now, and as the future leaders of this country.  more...

Scholarships

In 1985, The Maxwell Club founded its Scholarship Fund, financed by donations to the Club’s Lifetime Membership Program. This Fund is responsible for the Maxwell Football Club’s Philadelphia Area High School Student Athlete Award which presents the Jim Henry Trophy. The winner of the Henry Trophy will receive a $5,000 scholarship, the maximum allowed by NCAA regulations, to the school to which he chooses to matriculate.

In January 2007, we also presented  fifty $1000 scholarships to high school players throughout the area.

Since 1985, the Maxwell Board of Governors has authorized additional scholarships, and acceptance of donations in all amounts to the Scholarship Fund. These funds are then invested and the interest from investments is used to finance all scholarships.

Community Involvement

The Maxwell Football Club is an active participant in football at all levels 52 weeks of the year. Several years ago, the Club provided a grant that led to the development of the short cleat that greatly reduces knee injuries.

The Maxwell Club continues to sponsor injury clinics and supports the Philadelphia All Star game which it has been involved with since its inception. Over the years, the Club has been happy to support the efforts of many organizations, to name just a few: PAL (Police Athletic League), Pop Warner Little Scholars, Eagles Fly for Leukemia, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Childrens Hospital, the American Heart Association and many more organizations where we can be of some help.  more...
