Why Ralph Wilson?The AFL might not have made it if it wasn’t for Wilson, who loaned money to the Oakland Raiders and Boston Patriots to keep their teams afloat in the early years. He also shaped the policy of sharing television revenue among the teams. That helped the league stay in business and finally merge with the National Football League in 1970. see more...
